The usual departure point for rides from the city is Victoria Square in the small park adjacent to the Cathedral. It is a good idea to confirm this for each ride and check the time of departure.

SARCC Vic Square Start

Country Rides

For country rides beginning elsewhere, usually a town outside Adelaide, riders need to arrange their own transport. Other club members may be able to assist. The telephone number of the ride leader is always provided and it is prudent to check for any change in the meeting place details.

Hot Weather

For all scheduled SARCC Rides, if the Adelaide forecast maximum, as at 6.00 p.m. the evening before the ride is 35 degrees Celsius or over, the leader has the right to cancel the ride without notice.  Members interested in still riding should contact the ride leader to determine if the ride has been cancelled, modified or will continue as scheduled.

All riders should carry a pump, a puncture repair kit and a water bottle, and when necessary an effective raincoat. Bring lunch or money to buy some. Unless otherwise indicated rides are planned so that there will be somewhere to buy lunch.

Rides Protocol document is available  for viewing and printing. It outlines the responsibilities of ride leaders and cyclists on club rides.
